Fish worth Taka more than 2 lakh was killed by pouring poisonous pesticides in a fish farm belonging to one Harun-ar-Rashid in the village Chipa Baraikhali within Nishanbaria Union under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district out of pewvioua enmity with him (Harun) at the night of Monday, according to a delayed report received here. In this connection a written complaint was lodged with Morrelganj PS on Tuesday mentioning the names of 3 persons by the fish farm owner.
It is stated in the complaint that at the night of occurrence one Sabuj, one Kalam and one Abul Hossain of the same village poured poisonous pesticides in his fish farm, adjacent to his residence (out of previous enmity with him) and looted lobsters and other spices of fish worth Tk.90 thousand. Bedsides this, fish worth Tk.1 lakh 20 thousand of different spices was destroyed. At the night Harun-ar-Rashid and his wife wake up, went to the spot and found the accused person are looting fish from the farm and when they made a hue and cry loudly they (the opponents) fled away.
