bdnews24.com :Fish traders have attacked officials of a mobile court in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur.They hurled brickbats at the officials right after the court seized formalin-laced fish at the Town Hall kitchen market at around 12.30pm on Thursday.Police fired blank shots to bring the situation under control.Additional policemen have been deployed in the market after the incident.Public Administration Ministry’s senior assistant secretary Abul Kalam Azad who led the mobile court said, fish laced with formalin was available in almost every shop of the market.”When we wanted to seize the fish they (the fish traders) obstruct us and hurled brickbats at us,” Azad said.The traders also chased away police. Some policemen were injured at the time.However, fish traders said they protested when the mobile court demanded ‘exorbitant’ fine from them.
