A fish trader was found hanging from a tree at Sangdia village in Kachua upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan Shikdar, 55, son of Razzak Shikdar of the vilalge.
Quoting family sources of the deceased, Jahirul Haq, sub-inspector of Kachua Police Station, said Abdul Mannan took loan from others for the treatment of his ailing son recently.
Being failed to repay the loan, Abdul Mannan hanged himself from a tree sometime in the night, he said.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital.
