First Track Service Centre has been launched by Tax Zone-2 and Tax Zone-7 at Topkhana road in the city’s Segunbagicha area to provide taxpayers all tax related services, including filling of return, under a single roof.
“The service centre will provide different supports including receiving e-TIN, filling of income tax return of the taxpayers and receiving certified copy of income tax relating documents,” Tax Zone-2 Commissioner Kanon Kumar Roy told a view-exchange meeting with journalists at its office here on Monday.
He said the government has already launched the online tax payment system to simplify the filling of income tax return of the taxpayers.
The meeting was a part of the tax office’s move to create awareness on “Pay-Role Tax” for government and autonomous body’s officials.
However, according to the tax official, the office is also mulling a planning to make taxpaying services and system more friendly through research and development time to time.
