First Robot Restaurant launched

Bangladesh’s first-ever Robot Restaurant was launched in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
The programme was arranged jointly by Robot Restaurant and a China-based robot-making organisation HZX Electronic Technology Company at its own auditorium in the city.
The Robot Restaurant and the robot-making organization organized a press conference on Wednesday on the occasion of launching programmne of the restaurant.
Located at busy city street in Family World Convention Center 2/6 Asad Gate, Mirpur Road, Dhaka near Bangladesh Prime Minister’s official residence, Robot Restaurant invites all classes of people to experience and enjoy robotic service.
This is a restaurant first of its kind in Bangladesh, foods will be served to customers by robots, said the organisers.
Visitors described the launch of the restaurant a ‘milestone and new history’ in the country as it is the first restaurant which is robot-run.
“It has been observed that human waiters become tired after working for a few hours. They serve the eaters at that tired condition. Therefore, when robots will be serving the guests, it will ensure better service of the restaurants. Also such an environment will be a source of amusement for people of all ages, especially children, “director of the restaurant Rahin Raiyan said.
“Every class of people can visit our restaurant and witness rare experience as we will keep the menu within a reasonable price,”the director said.
“Children’s menu isa special attraction for our restaurant,” Rahin said.
“We are very committed to maintain and remain in quality and be family-friendly restaurant as all the family members can visit our restaurant,”he said.
“The guests were served lunch by the robots. This was a new experience for most of the visitors who attended the joyous event,” Rahin added.
“A man- waiter cannot always be hygienic and ensure food security. Considering the fact, we launched the restaurant run-by robots,” he further said.
Primarily the restaurant has installed two humanoid robots to serve food to customers, the official said.
Max Schwarz, CEO of HZX Electronic Technology Company, said “We are very committed and ready to provide any kind of help and cooperation for robot digitalisation in Bangladesh.”
The restaurant owner and concerned officials were also present in the function.
