The Walton 1st Open (Men & Women) Wrestling Championship starts on September 6 at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation will organize the two-day long wrestling competition with the financial assistance of Walton.
Regarding the wrestling championship, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation (BAWF) and First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of BAWF Tabiur Rahman Pahlowan and Joint-Secretary of the Federation Mesbahuddin Azad spoke at the conference.
The events of the men competition will be held in eight weight categories. They are: 57 kg, 61 kg, 66 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg.
The events of the women competition will be held in eight categories. They are: 48 kg, 51 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg and 90 kg.
The wrestling championship will come to an end on September 7.
