First Mediation Summit May 31

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is expected to inaugurate the first summit on mediation in Bangladesh.
She will open the programme at Hotel Purbani at 10:30 am on May 31, according to a press release of the organisation.
Kevin Brown, President of International Mediators Association, will attend the summit as a guest of honour.
The summit arranged by Bangladesh International
Mediation Society will be chaired by its founder Advocate Samarendra Nath Goswami.
Dr P V Rajagopal, Recipient of Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration and an activist of social change, Jill-Carl-Harris, International Trainer on Solidarity (UNO), Anil Xavier, President, Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation, K S Sarma, International Trainer on Mediation and Mediator, V Inbavijayan, International trainer (Course Director and tutor of CIA) and Arbitrator, Dr Mizanur Rahman, Professor, University of Dhaka and Former Chairman of National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh, Hou Veasna, Head of Complaint and Dispute Resolution Commission, Government of Cambodia, among others, will also attend the programme.
Iram Majid, Regional Director of Bangladesh International Mediation Society, will also be present as special guest.
International mediator KS Sharma will administer the first ever summit in Bangladesh as Master of Conference.
Accredited mediators, lawyers and students of law will attend the programme. A reception will be given to the accredited mediators in the summit.
