The first ever 3-day long Winter Tax Fair will begin in the port city from tomorrow (Thursday) at Govt office building premises at Agrabad in city . The fair will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm every day. City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin will inaugurate the fair on Thursday morning as chief guest.
It is learnt from the Taxation circle of Chittagong that following the requests of the tax payers , the first ever winter tax fair is being launched following the grand success of earlier tax fair held in Chittagong recently. Tax circle sources said tax return will be accepted in each booth, issue of acknowledgement of tax return, new registration of e-TIN and re-registration of TIN of old tax payer will be done in the fair. For facilitating the tax payers, regional based tax booth will be installed and separate booths for FFs, senior citizens, women and disabled tax payers will also be installed, sources said.
