The first-ever National High School Programming Contest-2015 was launched here on Friday to find out young ICT talents through arranging eight nationwide competitions giving a boost to massive digitization campaign.
ICT Division in cooperation with Robi Axiata Limited and Anwar Steel Limited is organizing the programming contest aiming to motivate young learners to flourish their talent on ICT.
As part of eight countrywide programming contests, the competition for Dhaka city zone was held at Dhaka University on Friday, where nearly 500 students from different schools and colleges participated, the organizers sources said.
While speaking at the prize distribution function of the completion, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “Our young generation possesses extra-ordinary talent like Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg . I believe you (students) will make the people wonder by showing your magnificent ICT innovations,”
The government is implementing a large number of ICT-based programmes to create IT skilled work force to supplement the efforts to build a Digital Bangladesh” by 2021 , he said, “We are launching many motivational programmes to encourage the young people to be IT-minded to join the journey of building a technology advanced country.”
“For the first time, we are launching the National High School Programming Contest responding to global needs to indentify ICT talents from our young people, who will be future leaders for building an IT advanced country,” he added.
