The event was organized by the Embassy in collaboration with the BDK Family (Bangladesh Korea friendship group) and KOICA Alumni Association.
Many talented Bangladeshi people, especially youngsters, interested in Korean culture and K-pop participated in the event, said the Embassy.
A total of 126 video entries on K-pop performance and introduction of Korean culture in Bangla language were submitted.
Some 113 of the videos were K-pop performances, and 13 were on various aspects of Korean culture.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has been holding regularly various cultural events, such as Korean concerts, Korean film festivals, Korean food festivals, and K-pop contests, with a view to deepen the mutual understanding between Korean and Bangladeshi people through culture and to strengthen our bilateral ties.
This first digital video contests served as an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange through online digital platforms at a time when organizing offline cultural activities has become difficult due to the unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, said the Embassy.
The Korean Embassy expressed sincere appreciation to all participants of the digital video contests and hopes the excellent works of the participants will help everyone to get through the challenging times.
