The first day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in five districts under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) was held here peacefully on Thursday.
Control room sources said there was no expulsion of candidates from any centre in the first day in Chittagong, but 420 students were absent in the Bengali First Paper examination today.
A total of one lakh 21 thousand one hundred thirteen out of one lakh 21 thousand 533 examinees, from 1023 high schools participated in the 179 centers. Some 60 vigilance teams including 10 special teams by the CEB authorities which is monitoring the situation in and outside the centers to check any sorts of copying during the examination.
Mohammad Touabir Alam, acting controller of CEB, told the examination was held in a peaceful and fair manner.
