First Aid Service to highway injured people TraumaLink expands operation in Comilla

TraumaLink, a voluntary organization which provides free emergency first aid service to the highway injured people of Bangladesh, is going to expand its operation in Comilla from 35 km to another 15 km starting from Barogovindpur to Kotbari Bishsaw Road under Chandina Upazilla in Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
This was announced through an event held at Nur Mohal Hotel in Burichang Upazila on Wednesday.
Poritosh Ghosh, Additional DIG, Highway Police, Comilla Region, Comilla was present the event as chief guest while Md. Moniruzzaman Talukdar, Additional District Commissioner of Comilla graced the programme as special guest. Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Civil Surgeon and Md. Yahya, Assistant Director, Fire Service and Civil Defense, Comilla, Bidhan Chandra Pal, TraumaLink’s Vice-President, Esha Chowdhury, TraumaLink’s Director of Operations, Suzuki Rancon Motorbikes Representative Ibrahim Khalil, were present, among others at the event.
Speakers at the event said TraumaLink has been doing breakthrough activities on the highways of Bangladesh. The organization is getting support from the local administration including all levels of peoples for this activity.
They also mentioned that the activities of TraumaLink would be a unique example for the people of Bangladesh. People will come forward with different voluntary works by inspiration of TraumaLink activities.
