Chief Whip A.S.M Feroz said here on Wednesday the price of internet should be reduced at the consumer level to build an information-technology based Bangladesh aimed at reaching public and private services at their doorsteps.
“It is possible to build a digital Bangladesh by reaching internet services to the people of all strata of life,” he said after inaugurating a two-day Bangladesh Internet Week-2015 at Baufal upazila of Patukhali district through teleconference from his office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.
He called upon the internet providers to reduce the price of internet at consumer level as well as strengthen the internet speed to reach the public and private services at the doorsteps at the quickest possible time.
The Chief Whip stressed the need for creating awareness among the people to stop misuse of digital technology and crimes and militancy using the technology.
