The terrorists have set fire to a BNP activist’s house at Bagadiaite village under Moheshpue upazila of the district on Saturday night. At the time they blasted four cocktails. House wife Bithi Khatun received injuries.
The victim is identified as Shafikul Islam, son of ex-Kazirber union chairman Sobhan Uddin at Bagadiaite village of the upazila.
Shafikul said, that Jubo League activists Miraj Uddin, Ismail Hossain, Bazlur Rahman and others led by ex-UP member Raihn Uddin poured petrol to the house and set fire to his house at around 12:30 am on Saturday. At the time they blasted four cocktails to create panic in the village. Rice, wheat, cloths, furniture, cash taka and other valuables were burnt causalities worth around Tk 2 lakh.
It is interesting that Police have arrested his uncle Kabir Hossain on Sunday morning at around 9-30 am. Consequently, they could not dare to go the police station to file any case.
