A month-long training program on fire safety and compliance commenced recently at Posmi Sweaters Ltd premises.
40 of the mid-level managements, fire fighting & rescue teams from Posmi Sweaters Ltd., Spectra Sweaters Ltd. and Fame Sweaters Ltd. has participated in the program.
Organized by the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) and jointly funded by the Ministry of Finance and Asian Development Bank (ADB), the 56-hour program is being coordinated by Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). The program was inaugurated by NihalShanthaAruna De Silva, Executive Director, Posmi Sweaters Ltd.; Md. MahbubulHaq, Senior AGM & Head of Compliance, Posmi Sweaters Ltd.; and Mr. Md. Hedayatul Islam Khan, Coordinator, Management Training, SEIP-BGMEA.
The training program will provide participants elaborated ideas on Fire Prevention, Occupational Health and Safety, Labor Law, Compliance Audit, Safety Inspection Procedure, Basic Rules and Regulations of Compliance, etc. The program consists of 18 modules and will inter-personally boost up their confidence in maintaining international standards.
