A fire gutted a rice mill and poultry-feed shop at Shantirhat bazaar of Rangunia upazila of the district on Friday night.
Fire Brigade sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at the rice mill and poultry feed shop owned by Ahmed Box at around 2.30 am and it soon engulfed other parts of the factory.
On information two units of fire fighters extinguished the flame after nearly one and a half hours. None was, however, injured in the fire.
