Valuables worth about Taka three lakh were gutted in a fire at a restaurant in city’s Alonkar area on Monday.
Fire service sources said, the fire originated from an electric short circuit at Alonkar Hotel & Restaurant at Alonkar intersection under city’s Pahartali thana around 11.50am.
Four units of fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at about 12.25pm, said Sarwar Jahan, control room operator of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defense Office.
