At least three cottages used for staying of tourists were gutted in a fire at Sajek valley in Baghaichhari upazila of the district on Friday night.
The inferno broke out at a cottage around 1:45 am, engulfing another two cottages, said Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sajek Police Station. On information, a team of Fire Service and Civil Defense from Dighinala rushed to the spot and doused the flame with the help of security forces and locals.
