3 city Jamaat leaders taken on remand

A Dhaka court on Monday placed three Jamaat leaders including the Ameer of Kadamtali Police Station in the capital on a three-day remand each after hearing.
Magistrate Amit Kumar Dey of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after Kadamtali Police Station Sub-Inspector Galibul Islam and also Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced the trio to the court seeking a ten-day remand each. The court also rejected the bail petitions of the accused.
The arrested Jamaat Ameer is Abul Kashem, while the other two are Hafizul Islam and Ashiqur Rahman.
The case statement says that police detained them from a mess of Talimul Millat Cadet Madrasa at Dakkhin Dania area of the Police Station with three knives, 18 cocktails and 200 Jehadi books.
