The fire that broke out on the seventh floor of building number-6 of the secretariat area was doused around 4.45 pm on Sunday.
The fire erupted from an electric switch board of a room close to the staircase of the 7th floor of 21-storey building around 3.30 pm.
Sources said, since the fire erupted during the last moment of the office hour, mass panic was going on among all the staff and they were roaming here and there with tension because almost six lifts remained off because of fire.

and Civil Defense Headquarters, told the media that the fire was put out at 4: 45 pm.
Three units of fire service worked hard to extinguish the fire incidents.
Some old papers were burnt only, said Md. Saleh Uddin, Assistant Director of Dhaka District of Fire Service and Civil Defense.
