A fire broke out at the Hasina Market in Dhaka’s largest kitchen market Karwan Bazar on Saturday night.
The fire broke out at 9:08pm and eight units Fire Service began to douse the flame, later the fire was brought under control at 10:10 pm said Civil Defence’s control room duty officer Mahfuz Riben.
However he did not say yet the actual cause of the fire. It can be said after getting report, he added.
No casualties were reported immediately, he further added.
Meanwhile, the owners of the affected shops said that fire often catches Hasina Market. Two weeks ago, a shop in the market caught fire. Two years ago, more than three hundred shops in Hasina Market were gutted in a fire.
Affected shop owners alleged that a vested group set fire to the market.
