A fire broke out in Savar’s RMG factory while another fire erupted in Tongi’s spinning mill in the country on Thursday.
However, both fires were doused by the Fire Service units.
In Gazipur, a massive fire broke out at a spinning mill of AnonTex Group at Tongi around 4 pm on Thursday.
Local sources said that, the fire erupted in the spinning mill under West Tongi Police Station and quickly spread to the surrounding areas.
Being informed, a total of 11 firefighting units from Uttara and Tongi areas rushed to the spot and finally they doused the flame.
Manikuzzaman, Head of Tongi (Zone) fire station confirmed the matter to the media. The origin of fire and the losses at the spinning mill could not be known immediately.
Meanwhile, another fire broke out at a garment factory in Savar’s Beribadh area on Tongi-Ashulia-EPZ road on Thursday.
The fire broke out at Annextax Factory around 3:45 pm.
After affords of seven units of Tongi and Uttara fire service the fire brought under control.
