A devastating fire broke out at a foreign shoe factory of Kanrafuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) at 12:30pm yesterday.
Confirming the matter to this correspondent, deputy director of Chittagong fire service Jasim Uddin said: ten fire fighting units are trying to douse the fire.
Officer-in-Charge of EPZ Thana Abul Monsur said, fire engulfed chemical godown of the Taiwanese shoe factory and police has taken position to keep law and order under control.
