Fire broke out near the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday.
No casualties have been reported till filing this report around 2:30pm.
The fire broke out at 1:48pm near the ICU on the fourth floor of the DMCH building, said Ershad Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.
Three firefighting units rushed there and brought the blaze under control at 2:05pm, the official added.
According to the hospital sources, total 18 patients at the ICU remain safe.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.-
