A fire broke out at a ‘Tong Market’ in the city’s Dholai Khal area on Friday evening.
However, no casualties, has been reported instantly.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known, but firefighters suspect that it might have originated from the electric short circuit.
Nilufar Yasmin, duty officer of Headquarters of Fire Service and
Civil Defense said that eight units of fire service rushed to the spot following information and doused the flame at 7:45pm.
Alal Uddin, security guard of the market said that he found flame in the market around 7:20pm and informed the matter to the fire service control room.
