A huge fire at Gopalpur Tachiran Poultry and Hatchery in Panchbibi municipal town of Joypurhat has caused a loss of around Tk 20 lakh. The incident took place around 8:30 pm on Monday.
Hatchery owner principal Alhaj Abu Hasnat Mandal said his chicken shed had about 6,500 chicks, food and medicine in a shed.
This shed was completely burnt to ashes in a sudden fire. This has caused a loss of about 20 lakh rupees.
Two units of Panchbibi Fire Service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. According to service sources, the fire may have occurred in the short circuit.
