New Zealand batsman Finn Allen was positive for Covid-19, when he had arrived Dhaka, on August 20, however, he was vaccinated prior to that.
Allen had been kept in quarantine, and has been kept in isolation, as he has made a comeback in the New Zealand’s training session, after being away from the team and completing the isolation period.
When asked about the time of him being away from the team, he has claimed the period to quite discomforting, as he is relieved to be back with the team, as he said,
“Obviously a little niggly period there. Bit of isolation, but obviously nice to be out and see the boys, and sort of get some fresh air, and looking forward to the game today, to sort of yeah, get a run, around, and hopefully, have a hit.” He said.
Allen missed his teammates quite a lot, as he said, “Yeah obviously, never nice. I’m just almost like, finished my seven day period, when I got here and then sort of realized I was going to be in there for a bit longer, and not see the boys was pretty devastating.” He said.
The New Zealand top-order batsman also claimed, that he enjoys his career as a Kiwi cricketer, and he can’t wait to get back to the field, “New Zealand career were really good to me, and Bangladesh as well. They sort of helped out a lot and made a bit easier for me. So, yeah, piece of a bad situation, I guess.”
