A fine of Tk 14,330 has been imposed in 37 cases under Section 24 of the Infection Act 2018 in Lohagara upazila for opening shops, shopping malls and moving around unnecessarily.
Upazila administration, Bangladesh Army and police have taken to the field to implement the lockdown in Lohagara. Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ahsan Habib Jitu imposed the fine in a mobile court on Thursday.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, OC Zak Hossain Hossain, Captain Md Muktadir Ahmed Asif and Inspector of Police (Investigation) Muhammad Obaidul Islam were present.
