Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) take on Rangpur district U-18 team in one of the opening day’s final round matches of Under-18 National Football Championship that begins today at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
The match kicks off at 2.30 pm.
In the day’s other match, Rajshahi district u-18 team will lock horns with Dhaka district U-18 team that begins at 4.30 pm.
Deputy Minister on Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy is expected to inaugurate the championship as chief guest at 4.30 pm. Tournament sponsor Walton’s senior additional director and head of the department (sports and Welfare) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don will be present as special guest.
As per the schedule, the group stages will conclude on April 28th. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the semifinals to be held on April 30 and after a three day interval the final will take place on May 4.
Group A-Rajshahi, BKSP, Rangpur and Dhaka.
Group B-Chittagong, Barisal, Satkhira and Sylhet.
