Final round of International Junior Tennis begins Monday

The final round of Islami Bank 31st Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Championship begins Monday (November 6) at National Tennis Court Complex in Ramna.
Shahriar Alam, MP, State Minister of Ministry for Foreign Affairs, also president of Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) is expected to inaugurate the meet as chief guest at 5.30 pm.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy will be present as special guest on the occasion.
Officials from tournament sponsors Islam Bank Bangladesh Limited, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Milk Vita Best Electronics and Acme Premium Drinking Water will also be present.
Apart from host Bangladesh, 106 participants – 68 of boys’ and 38 of girls’ – from 17 countries will take part in the seven-day meet, sponsored by Islam Bank Bangladesh Limited, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Milk Vita Best Electronics and Acme Premium Drinking Water.
The two-day qualification round of the competition already started from Friday and a total of six players will qualify in the final round.
The competition includes four events. The events are boys’ singles and doubles and girls’ singles and doubles.
In this regard, a press conference was held on Saturday at the conference room of BTF to provide all the details of the meet.
