The final round of Independence Cup Kabaddi competition will begin on Sunday (April-23) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium at Mirpur with six matches will be billed for the opening day.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and IGP AKM Shahidul Haque is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest
A total of ten teams, split into two groups, will take part in the five-day meet, sponsored by Bashundhora Group and organized by BKF.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals scheduled to be held on April 26 while the final of the competition is slated on April 27.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Thursday at Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium to provide all the details of the meet.
BKF President and IGP AKM Shahidul Haque, BKF general secretary and additional DIG Habibur Rahman, Bashudhora Group advisor major general (retd.) Mahbub Haider Khan, were among others, present on the occasion.
