FIFA, AFC postpones World Cup Qualifiers, Asian Cup Qualifiers

The matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers were postponed. FIFA, the highest body of the world football and AFC, the highest body of Asian Football took this decision in a joint-meeting held on Wednesday last.
“FIFA and the AFC will continue to work together to closely monitor the
situation in the region and to identify new dates for the respective qualifying matches,” they said in a joint statement.
Bangladesh were scheduled to take on Afghanistan on October 8 in Sylhet, face Qatar on October 13 in Doha, meet India on November 12 in Sylhet and play against Oman on November 17. But FIFA and AFC postponed those matches due to coronavirus situation of the world. The matches will be held in 2021. The fixture of those matches has not yet finalised. It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has arranged the residential coaching camp with 30 footballers at the Sarah Resort in Gazipur marking the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. So, BFF postponed the conditioning camp due to the decision of BFF and AFC. Meanwhile, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will organize its election of the Executive Committee on October 3.
Apart from Bangladesh, the other countries also have started there preparation camp with their booters.
