Motiur Rahman, a valiant freedom fighter, social worker and former member of word no 6 Jame Mosque managing committee, died of old-age complications at Birdem General Hospital in the city yesterday.
He was 76, said a press release. Motiur Rahman had been suffering from diabetes for long.
He is survived by wife, three sons, five daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
He was buried at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard on Sunday following a namaz-e-janaza with full state honour after Asr prayers.
