36 lakh cases pending with courts: SC report

Staff Reporter :A huge backlog of nearly 36 lakh cases remains pending with the different courts throughout the country, causing immeasurable suffering to the litigants.According to a study report of the Supreme Court (SC), a total of 35,98,263 cases were pending with the courts till June 30 while 3,76,778 were disposed of by the courts since April 1 to June 30.Besides, a total of 21,410 cases remained pending with the Appellate Division till June 30 after 2,210 cases were filed...
