A garment worker of Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) was killed and three others received injuries at number three road of CEPZ on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rani Akhter, 27, a quality controller at ‘Siam Superior’ garment factory of CEPZ.
The condition of three injured workers was stated to be critical, Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outposts sources said.
CEPZ thana police said the accident occurred near road no-3, sector 1 of CEPZ at 7 am on Sunday.
“A bus, after losing control, ran over Rani near ‘Siam Superior’ and injured another three before it drove into a ditch “, the sources added.
Police with the help of locals recovered the four injured and sent them to the CMCH but the attending doctors declared Rani Akhter dead after the admission.
A case filed with CEPZ police station in this connection.
