Female doctor found dead in Capital

Police recovered the body of a female doctor from her house at Khilkhet in the capital. The deceased was identified as Mahfuza Akter Munni, 25. She has obtained MBBS degree from Mymensingh Medical College recently, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Humayun Kabir. Her body was recovered from a house on Nikunj-2, Road No. 3 in Khilkhet on Saturday evening.
A few girls lived there together. On that day, Munni was alone as her roommate went to the village home, AC said.
After shouting for a long time, some people of the next room broke the door and saw Munni wrapping with a scarf around her neck and hanging from the ceiling fan.
Initially, it is thought to be suicide. Still we are investigating the matter whether there was any other reason behind it, AC Humayun added.
Aminul Islam, Inspector (Investigation) Khilkhet Police Station told the New Nation that after recovery of the body, we sent it to the Dhaka Medical College & Hospital morgue for autopsy test.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, brother of the deceased, said their village home in Gazipur, and they currently reside in Kadamtali in the capital.
Her sister passed MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College a few days ago, and she lived in the house at Nikuja-2, he added.
