Federation Cup karate kicks-off in city

The two-day Federation Cup Karate Championship organised by Bangladesh Karate Federation began on Friday at National Sports council Gymnasium.
The General Secretary of the Karate Federation Sheikh Ali Ahsan Badal inaugurated the competition at the National Sports Council’s gymnasium this morning.
On the first day of the competition, the girls division of the girls, 8-10 years old – 30 kgs kumi: Nisha of Chapainawabganj won the gold medal.
In the child division boy 8-10 year old- 25 kilogram kumi, gold medal was won by Raju of Noakhali district Raju.
In the Boy 10-12 years old -35 kg kumi event, Fahim of Chapainawabganj won the gold.
Imran Nahid of Keraniganj bagged the gold in 8-10 years old open category of children. In the 14-16 year old girl, – 45 kg gold weight category, Saima Zaman of Chapainawabganj won the gold .
In the 14-16 year old boys – 45kg gold weight category BKSP Hamim won the gold medal.
In the boys 10-12 years old, team event kata , gold medal was bagged by Tipu and Noor Hossain. Lavina won gold in the 10-12 year old individual event kata singles category.
In this year’s championship, about one thousand players from various district sports organizations, divisional sports organizations, service teams, banks, schools, colleges, universities and various clubs are participating in 70 categories.
This competition will conclude on Saturday (September 30th) tomorrow. Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh BDO Ashiqur Rahman Miku will deliver prizes among the winners as present as the chief guest at 5 pm.
