A man and his two sons were killed when a truck knocked down them at Begumpur Bazar in Osmaninagar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Arju Mia, 40, and his two sons-Kaiyum, 14, and Shahid Mia, 12, of Konapara village in the upazila.
Nurunnabi, Officer-in-Charge of Dhaka-Sylhet highway police, said the accident took place in the area around 8.00pm when a Sherpur-bound truck from Sylhet ran over them while crossing the road, leaving one person dead on the spot and two others injured.
