A court here on Thursday placed father Nuruzzaman Kajol on a 3-day remand in a case filed in connection with the recovery of the body of his minor son from a house in the city’s Banglamotor area on Wednesday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal passed the order when police produced Kajol before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
Maliha Akhter, wife of Nuruzzaman Kajol filed the case against him with Shahbagh Police Station on Wednesday night, said duty officer of the police station, sub-inspector Aslam Ali.
Earlier on Wednesday, police recovered the body of three-year old boy Safayat and rescued his brother Surayat from a house in the city’s Banglamotor area which remained cordoned off by joint forces.
Police arrested Nuruzzaman Kajol for keeping his two sons hostage at the house.
