Mizanur Rahman, father of Riadul Islam Miraj, student of class – VI of Jhikargachha BM High School under the upazila in Jessore, who was killed for ransom after abduction, demanded punishment to killers of his son and all the children who were killed in the country.
The demand came from a press conference arranged by the father of the schoolboy held at Jessore Press Club on Monday.
In the press conference, Mizanur Rahman said the body of Miraj was recovered from a jungle at Narangali village under Jessore sadar upazila on the evening of 23rd November, 2013. Earlier, he was abducted for Tk 25 lakh as ransom from Laujani village under Jhikargachha upazila and was confined at the residence of Hazrat Ali at Narangali village. A total of 12 miscreants were charge- sheeted by the Detective Branch in connection with the killing. All the accused were the real killers as the identity of them were detected through mobile tracking.

But all the accused by the main culprit Jahid Hasan Milon were released on bail. Jahid is underway to be freed. ‘Such information made me disheartened’, he sighed.
‘Now I demand justice for my son and justice for all the children were brutally killed by miscreants’, the father said.
