A three-month-old baby girl was strangulated to death allegedly by her father at Montit village in Boraigram early Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nusrat Jahan Sinthi.
Quoting family members police said when Sinthi was sleeping with her mother her father Nazmul Islam took her to another room of their house and strangled her to death early in the morning.
On information, police recovered the body.
Nazmul went into hiding after the incident.
