A father in a Harinakundu village of Jhenidah has allegedly killed his daughter throwing her on the ground on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred following a quarrel between the couple at about 9.00 am.
The killer father was identified as Liton Mandal of Sripur village under Harinakundu police station.
Harinakundu police station officer in charge (Investigation) Asaduzzaman said, the quarrel started when Liton’s wife Sadia Khatun picked up Taka 50 from his pocket. At one stage the father took the two and a half year girl Lithi from Sadia’s lap and thrown her on the floor of the house, leaving the girl died on the spot.
The police said, they recovered the body of Lithi and sent to Jhenidah Sadar hospital morgue for post mortem examination. The killer father was absconding immediate after the incident, police said.
