The High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail petition of Mahbubul Haque Chisty (Babul Chisty), former chairman of Farmers Bank audit committee, in a graft case filed for embezzling Tk 9 lakh.

The High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail petition of Mahbubul Haque Chisty (Babul Chisty), former chairman of Farmers Bank audit committee, in a graft case filed for embezzling Tk 9 lakh.
The HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder
and Justice K M Hafizul Alam passed the order after rejecting a rule on his bail.
The ACC filed the case with Gulshan Police Station for embezzling the money on August 8 last year.
According to the case statement, he visited London and United Arab Emirates from August 19-28 in 2017 spending Tk 9, 24,673 in the name of business meeting.
After rejection of bail by the lower court, he filed bail petition with HC on November 18.
