A farmer named Hafizul Islam (30) was killed in an engine-driven trolley in Satkhira Kadaka . The accident took place at Kadakati village of Assasuni upazila on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Hafizul Islam, son of Sabbad Ali of Kakibarsa village of Dhulihar union of Satkhira Sadar upazila.
Witnesses said that on the way to the house coming from a field with haul from a field in Hafizul Kadakati area, suddenly the accident occurred , when the trolley collapsed and fell under the ground and killed on the spot.
Ashashuni Police Station Officer-in-Charge Biplob Kumar Nath confirmed the incident.
61 held in anti-drug drive
Police arrested 61 people including two drug dealers in Satkhira district-wide anti-narcotics drive.
They were arrested from Thursday to Friday from different places in eight thanas of the district.
Several drugs were recovered during this period.
Inspector of Satkhira District Police Special Branch Ajam Khan said, 18 people from Satkhira Sadar Police Station, 5 from Kolaroa Police Station, 4 from Tala Thana, 8 from Kaliganj Police Station, 8 from Shyamnagar Police Station, 10 from Assasuni Police Station, and Debhata Police Station Four people and four from Patkelghata police station were arrested.
He also said that there are cases against drug addicts, drug addicts and other charges against the people .
