A farmer died after being electrocuted at Tarakandi village in Pakundia Upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday.
The victim is identified as Tara Miah (43) son of Late Shamsuddin Miah at Tarakandi village of Pakundia upazila.
Police and locala said that a famer, Md. Mohar Ali of Tarakandi Purbopara ara, put a live electric wire fence around his cauliflower field to keep foxes out. Victim Tara Miah came in contact with the live wire at 7.45 am on Friday. Whe he went to near field to collect grass for his cows.
Local rushed him to Pakundia Hospital in a critical condition where an on duty doctor declared him dead.
Pakundia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Shamsuddin said the body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Victim’s wife Royeka Khatun, field a case with Pakundia Thana accusing Mohar Ali for the incident the OC added.
