Faridpur DSA clinched the ATN Bangla Gold Cup 30th National Hockey Championship title beating Bangladesh Navy by 2-1 goals in the final at the Maulana Bhasani National Stadium on Monday.
Prasanta Kumar Biswas put Faridpur ahead in the 23rd minute while Moinul Islam Koushik restored parity for Navy in the 25th minute.
Pushkar Khisha Mimo scored the match-winning goal for Faridpur DSA in the 46th minute and was adjudged best player of the tournament, receiving a cash award of Tk 15,000.
Moinul Islam Kaushik of Bangladesh Navy was named as the highest scorer of the tournament with 12 goals and received a prize money of Tk 15,000.
Champions Faridpur DSA received prize mony Tk 50,000 while runners-up Bangladesh Navy got Tk 30,000 as prize money.
Chairman and Managing Director of ATN Bangla Dr Mahfuzur Rahman was the chief guest at the final and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Earlier in a place deciding match, Bangladesh Army finished 3rd beating Dhaka DSA by 2-1 goals at the same venue in the morning.
