The Conference on the New Haven School of Jurisprudence series is a platform for scholars to share their views on jurisprudential foundations and other issues of a variety of legal institutions and transactions. It aims at bringing together leading international legal scholars from around the world to promote a better understanding of the contemporary social and political realities and how legal principles and philosophy change over time to meet the social needs and aspirations.
As such, this year’s Conference whose theme is “The New Haven School and International and Comparative Law” focuses on the current legal issues of the world from either a jurisprudential, comparative or other point of view. In particular, this year’s conference will set a special session to discuss those legal issues relating to China’s recent “One Belt One Road” strategy, also known as the “Belt and Road Initiative”, which has drawn tremendous attention across the world.
