Somen Chanda, born in Narsingdi, was a Marxist activist, writer and trade union leader of then Bengal. He was the first writer who worked with people’s literature in Bengali literature. Kolkata Bangla Academy
introduced literary award by his name. On March 8, 1942, an anti fascism conference was arranged with the participation of Dhaka’s intellectuals and writers. Due to arrangement of the conference,
a tense situation prevailed in Dhaka and political arena of the city was divided into three parts. On the first day, one of the main organisers of the conference young writer Somen Chanda was killed by assassinators. He was the first martyred in the Bengal who was killed for the movement against fascism. Abul Hayat has made a script for a drama from the adaptation of Somen Chanda written a story titled Bhalo Na Lagar Shesh. Masud Chowdhury has made the drama for Bangladesh Television, which will be aired on the TV channel soon. Popular actress Farhana Mili played the role of Ratri in the drama. Besides Mili, Abul Hayat, Shahadat Hossain, among others, also acted in different roles in the drama. While talking about acting of Farhana Mili in the drama noted actor Abul Hayat said, “Mili is heroine of our viewers’ choice movie Monpura. Her acting is well. It is a sweet romantic story based drama. I have made its script and I believe viewers will enjoy the drama.”

I couldn’t get the scope to work under the story written by Somen Chanda. Our legendary actor Abul Hayat has made the script of the drama. Overall, it has become a nice work. I hope
viewers will enjoy the drama.”
Meanwhile, few days ago, Farhana Mili and Shahed Sharif Khan performed together as model in a TVC of online
marketplace directed by Sohag. Monpura is Mili-starrer her only movie. By this movie she won hearts of many viewers. Few days ago, she also started anchoring. She said, “I have taken 2021 as a new challenge for me. Besides acting, I want to see myself in those works in which I had interest earlier but could not do. I have already attached with Asian TV’s ongoing serial Gobindopurer Golpo. I am playing an important role in the serial directed by
Sohel Rana Emon.”
