Dr M Habibur Rahman, Bangla department’s professor of Islamic University (IU), was accorded a farewell reception on the campus.
All teachers, staffs and students of Bangla department attended the reception held on Tuesday.
Professor Dr Goutom Kumar Das, chairman of the department, presided over the function while Professor Dr Sarwar Murshed, Professor Dr Moha Saidur Rahman, Professor M Yeasin Ali, Dr Gazi Mahbub Murshid, among others, shared their experiences with Pro Habib.
According to the university registrar office sources, Professor Habibur
Rahman got his self-reliant retirement on September 16, 2017.
Habib joined IU Bangla department as lecturer in 1996.
