Houses of three families in Iswardi have been destroyed by the Kalbaishakhi (monsoon storm) that on Sunday afternoon. The affected family members are now living inhumanly.
The storm blew away the roof tin of the raw houses of 3 low-income families in Bilpara area of Ward 3 under Ishwardi municipal area. These families are now living under the open sky.
These landless families were living on railway land.
The suffering of these landless families knows no bound. The family members are are widow Seema Khatun, day laborer Ujjwal and husband-abandoned Mina Begum. Families are helpless with their children. Mina said no one had inquired after the storm and so far no one had extended a helping hand. The families came to Ishwardi Press Club and appealed to the concerned for help.
